Atolls??

As part of the our concept driven South Pacific unit we have incorporated the teaching of atolls. These strange carbonate landforms are very interesting and the students like them as you can incorporate a bit of Finding Nemo and playdough.



I found this animation which is useful but has no explanation - wikipedia is actually surprisingly useful!!

This is a strange exciting landform in a part of the world students rarely see and one I particularly like.
